Based off of how things have been going since N.I.L started, I think there should be a rule change. Hear me outโ€ผ๏ธ Option A: you receive full N.I.L agreement, but have to pay for your own schooling. Option B: you receive a full scholarship with a decent stipend from N.I.L per year

The only reason I mention this is because, there are many athletes out here that donโ€™t get a chance to prove theyโ€™re worth to a team. Their are many athletes that STILL have to walk-on and pay there way through school but do t get the full acknowledgment anymore because of NIL

"The money will come, but your development is what matters most" Cam Newton explains why Nico Iamaleava's decision to prioritize NIL money over his growth could cost him long-term success

The development stage is over it seems like. A lot of HS athletes are almost being forced to go to C.Cโ€™s/ Jucos and then potentially make a program afterwards. Meanwhile big programs are either looking to steal a player from another big program or get the best C.C/ Juco player

The fact that fans are paying hundreds of thousands of dollars or even millions for a kid to potentially get greedy and up and leave is insanity. Force them to make a decision that will start their growth as an adult to either have options A or B mentioned before.

The options not only give them an adult decision, but also keeps their entourage (so to speak) in check. We have to keep commitment/ honor alive for these schools and fans. Otherwise as you see currently itโ€™ll be chaos.

Hell, start making the N.I.L contracts at a minimum of 2 years. Thatโ€™s enough time to see the potential in the athletes and for the athletes to be able to see if theyโ€™re potential within the programs.

My proposal again, Option A: 2 year minimum N.I.L contract for X amount, but have to pay for own schooling. With a chance to renegotiate after 2 yrs Option B: full ride scholarship, with X amount of N.I.L (no more than $50k per year) Let me know yโ€™allโ€™s thoughts on this ๐Ÿค”
