Today the New Jersey Division of Fire Safety is mourning the loss of two brother firefighters from the City of Newark. Our hearts go out to their families, friends, loved ones, and the Newark FD. We pray for those injured and wish all a speedy and complete recovery.

Today, New Jersey’s fire service lost a tremendous ally and friend with the passing of Lt. Gov. Sheila Oliver. Since 2018, we at NJDFS had the honor of working with her as DCA Commissioner. Her strength, experience, and dedication to the people of NJ will never be forgotten.

New Jersey’s firefighters put their lives on the line to keep us safe.  It’s our job to make sure they have the support and benefits they have earned.  Wonderful to wrap up the first day of our campaign with a beer and a visit to the Firefighters Memorial in Atlantic City
