This is huge ā€” congratulations to the research team! If serotonin reduction is key to the development of LC, Iā€™m curious if SSRIā€™s would improve health outcomes over time (or prevent worsening of LC outcomes) if administered to patients shortly after disease onset.

šŸšØ U.S. Census Bureau is changing the way disability data is collected which reduces national disability estimates from 14% to 8%! These changes will negatively impact disabled people and have moved forward without input from the disability community. šŸ“¢Action you can take below!

Great NYT article on impact of long covid on the workforce and cognitive decline in young people after covid infection. The findings sadly arenā€™t surprising, given that prevention, treatment or funding for research on long covid werenā€™t prioritized in the public health agenda.

The CDC wants to stop telling people to isolate for five days when they are sick with COVID. This is a reckless, anti-public health policy that contravenes science, increases disease spread, and puts everyone at greater risk. šŸ§µ

Listened to Taylor's newest album, TTPD, and realized loml is one of the saddest songs she's released in a while -- and also one of the most beautiful songs she's ever written, right up there along with All Too Well (10 Minute Version).

Good lesson in medicine to never neglect a full work up because you think itā€™s just gyn related and consult OBGYN. Womenā€™s heart attacks present very different from males and dismissal of symptoms can lead to terrible outcomes.

If I could choose just four studies out of the over 500 Iā€™ve reviewed to convince you to take precautions from SARS-CoV-2, the following would be on my list: 1. The Lancet just published a compelling study of >16 million people demonstrating the risk of type 2 diabetes after

As a Urogynecologist I have been seeing a slew of female mail carriers U.S. Postal Service USPS Help who are not given access to bathroom breaks all day. Itā€™s causing serious damage to their bladder health. This needs to change immediately.

This is huge. VP Harris just announced on The View, ā€œThere are so many people who fall in the Sandwich Generation. They're taking care of their kids & their aging parents. Itā€™s almost impossible to do it all. I am proposing we allow Medicare to cover in-home health careā€
