Summarizing some stats. BHS Class of 23 over their careers in XC, Indoor, and Spring track (11 seasons): Overall record 50-5-1; 6 ML-Freedom 🥇 ; 1 ML12 All Conference 🥇 ; 5 MSTCA State Relays 🥇; 3 MIAA 🥇(3 🥈 and 3🥉 ). Spring T&F never lost a dual meet or MSTCA Relay meet.

It has happened! St. John’s Prep senior Nathan Lopez (8:59.29) pulls away to break a 2-mile meet record held since 1975 (!) by Wayland great and former Olympian Alberto Salazar. The country’s #5 time this outdoor season.

Rithikh finishes 11th in the 5k at New Balance Outdoor Nationals at UPenn tonight.

Ryan Brooks with a personal best throw of 146’ 10” to finish 5th in the freshmen division of the javelin at New Balance Nationals.

Elijah Wolinski is Burlington’s 13th All American in history with his 6th place finish in the Pentathlon at New Balance Nationals.

DMR of Eric Sekyaya, Elijah Wolinski, Colin Irwin, and Rithikh Prakash wrap up the 2023 Spring Track season with a 18th place finish at New Balance Nationals.

Home after 4 days in Philly at New Balance Nationals. Wolinski, Prakash, Sekyaya, Irwin, Brooks, and Balsara all competed. Brooks came home with a medal. Wolinski came home All American. This concludes my 69th season coaching at BHS.

This 10,000m race has me glued to the TV. American almost wiped out mid-race but got back on the horse. Ethiopians working together, conversing mid-race. Ugandan asserted dominance with some hand fighting. The drama is phenomenal. Oh yeah and the pace is insane. #Olympics
