Transphobia makes women’s spaces more unsafe, not trans people. It A: gives dangerous men an excuse to go in there and harass women under the guise of “oh I thought she was trans” and B: puts any woman in danger who falls out of the gross beauty expectations and gender norms.

This is what they always claimed universities did for minorities, forced profs to lower the standards in the name of political ideology. Come to find out, they were projecting onto others what they desperately wanted for themselves: DEI for conservatives.

Do trans people have an unfair advantage at being teachers or was this always about something other than fairness?

I've graded plenty of papers that contradict my own beliefs. Including ones that denied my existence as a trans woman. In academia, you are trained not to let your personal feelings influence your grading. You focus on grading the work, not the worldview. The issue here
