Without intersectionality, justice is just a slogan. Intersectionality is not a theory—it’s survival. In this powerhouse episode, Naomi Klein, Laura Garcia 🇲🇽 ➡️ 🇬🇧 (she/her), and Georgia Hirst break down the missing links between climate, gender, race and justice. Their insights challenge us to build

My interview at Sky News , commenting on the violence in #Sweida in southern #Syria and on the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office messaging on this issue (20 July) مقابلتي على قناة سكاي نيوز حول الأحداث في #السويداء, علاقتها بالأستعصاء السياسي الأوسع على مستوى البلاد والرسائل من الخارجية البريطانية

What are we waiting for as this ‘entirely man-made’, as IPC confirms, continues to claim more innocent lives?! #Famine_in_Gaza #ghaza theguardian.com/world/2025/aug…

This is profoundly #racist and shocking. What kind of law subjects a traumatised mother to the traumatising experience of taking her newborn from her! #Denmark #Greenland theguardian.com/world/2025/aug…

Thank you Hugh Bonneville. "Before I talk about the fluff and loveliness of our wonderful film, what's about to happen in Gaza is indefensible, the international community must do more to bring it to an end"

Daily Mail say today we need Farage and Reform to save the country. A reminder of the role the Mail played in getting us into this mess.

Grateful to #StopRosebank for organising today’s nationwide protests demanding that the UK Government #StopRosebank – the UK’s largest undeveloped oil field. I stood alongside fellow activists from Greenpeace International & scientists from Imperial College to oppose this destructive project

As I was stretching my arm over the barrier to film them removing the @Banksy mural outside The Royal Court of Justice the police woman told me ‘If your phone falls over we won’t be able to get it for you’. My response ‘I think it is worth it. Good art with a cause is worth it

I give my permission to any media outlet to use these images and videos which I took yesterday of the appalling removal of the Banks mural at the Royal court of justice in #London yesterday. I work at LSE and the site of the mural is meters from my office

Who knew surveillance priorities could be so… artistic? At the Royal Courts of Justice, the security camera has a new job: staring at the haunting remains of @Banksy ’s mural rather than watching the gate. As if the real threat to justice is a shadow of a protester on the wall

The UK’s recognition of the State of #Palestine is a long-overdue and historic step. But anything less than ending the genocide in #Gaza would risk turning recognition into a symbolic gesture that covers up inaction, rather than a step toward justice.

Deeply emotional moment at the Raising the flag ceremony at what is now The Palestinian Embassy in London. Joy and tears as we think about all the Palestinian people who continue to suffer the daily brutality of occupation and ongoing genocide. Long live the #Palestinian State

After fifteen years of watching family events remotely I am finally able to join a family event in person to celebrate the graduation of my niece Naya from high school in #Damascus yesterday. She came among the very top few in her class and will be studying medicine.

I’m honoured to join Archbishop Paul Richard Gallagher on a panel at the MED Dialogues conference in Naples next week, where we’ll discuss pathways for transition in #Syria.

The talk of there being peace is so lopsided. Peace in Israel. None in Gaza. As was case on 6 October 2023) One friend in Gaza was devastated when three of her family members were dug out of the rubble. Many others going through this torture
