Officially started my position at Penn State Chemistry last week (Happy 2022!), and I am delighted to welcome Rick Josey and Balu Ratheesh to the lab as the very first members of the research team!

Now 2nd-year (!) grad students, Balu Ratheesh and Rick Josey (Rick Josey) rocked their 1st-year committee meetings in August, crossing the first major milestone of their grad careers! I am excited to see where they take their projects in the next year (& beyond).

Chemistry department graduate students had a great weekend! On Saturday we supported the Penn State LGBTQIA+ 🌈community by running in the Super Gay 5K (along with some furry friends🐶), and on Sunday we enjoyed a beautiful group hike of Mount Nittany!🌳
