Somewhat out of my usual modelling period but this new accurascale Class 31 is simply stunning. Although the BR Civil Engineers "Dutch" grey and yellow livery may be considered somewhat dull, I always thought the Peds wore it well. #TMRGUK #modelrailways

It’s #ThrowbackFriday with a Class 205 DEMU no. 205012 in Connex South Central livery. These were replaced by Southern’s Class 170 Turbostar DMUs, with the final units being withdrawn in December 2004. #TMRGUK #modelrailways

Yesterday’s new arrival from accurascale has gained a crew and detailing parts. Seriously impressed with this model, it has the edge over the Bachmann Class 31 in my opinion. #TMRGUK #modelrailways #modeltrains

An enjoyable visit to the London Transport Museum Depot at Acton Town today, with a chance to get up close to some of London’s transport history. Particularly good to see MET Bo-Bo Sarah Siddons and the recently overhauled ex-BR standard brake van; both looking immaculate.

Great to ride behind LBSCR Class A1X Terrier ‘Martello’ at Bressingham Steam today during her milestone birthday year. Built in 1875 in Brighton, Martello is 150 years old this year; still looking and sounding fantastic.

Easy to understand why Stroudley’s LBSCR Class A1 / A1X locomotives gained their Terrier nickname; nothing beats that distinctive 'bark' of the exhaust.

Despite being a relatively straightforward livery, the triple grey scheme adopted by BR Railfreight has caused model manufacturers some difficulty over the years - we’ve had various shades of grey and even beige but have either of these models finally nailed it? #TMRGUK

#TMRGUK You great big Flirt! I wasn't originally intending to purchase the new Class 755, being neither era nor region appropriate, but was persuaded by my lad who is a fan of these units. I have to say, this is easily a contender for one of Hornby best models to date 👏🏻

Having undertaken a reversal in the station, Network Rail's Class 950, based on a Class 150 Sprinter DMU, is seen taking the crossover from the up main to the down main. #TMRGUK

Talk of a late running Turbostar in the Bachmann Europe Class 66 launch video made me think we close to finally seeing the long awaited retooled Class 170 and 171 DMU but alas not as part of the summer announcements. Hopefully later in the year🤞🏻

Made a return to the layout yesterday after a few weeks break. The area around the closed signal box is my current focus with various greenery added. #TMRGUK

l've started to turn my attention to the scenery at the tunnel end of the layout, an area which has seen little progress since the scene was first constructed back in August 2024. #class450 #TMRGUK
