Librarians will tell you they have @ least one good cry/breakdown during Book Fair. This was a phenomenal fair with no breakdown in sight, boy howdy has my heart been full. The cup runneth over today, though. This #surprisebookfairbuy tipped the scales & I had a good cry.

Our Lalla Odom AVID Elementary created four EcoRise projects & got to share all their hard work at the Student Innovation Showcase with the coolest people from all over Austin, including Mayor Kirk Watson @elizstephens_ & Kathy Pulido!!!! Thanks for all the love tonight, these kids worked HARD!

Thank you to these excellent McCallum HS students who are working on their capstone project! They braved the rain this morning to clear out these garden beds, it looks fantastic! Can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings!

This week in the library: divine canines had some Barking Book Buddies come and read with students! A great time was had by all while creating unique experiences with literacy. Sometimes loving reading is a challenge, but having an extra cozy pal can help get through tough words!

I found my favorite tree’s baby picture in our archive! Did you know that Austin ISD Libraries librarians like myself can also curate and digitize archives for our schools? All thanks to my extensive preparation while obtaining my masters at UT. #encuentratucuento #findyourstory
