Blown away by this. Mid-century New York jazz and crime. Read it in a day. Easy to see how Jake Lamar won the Historical Dagger this year The Crime Writers’ Association

I remember loving White Merc with Fins so I was happy to come across this is a second-hand bookshop. Feels a bit dated, but that’s maybe because I’m a bit dated myself. James Hawes

Still focused on The Makoto Murders for my UEA MA submission so I’m looking for books with transgressive protagonists. Thanks to Lisa Moylett for recommending You. I can see why it was such a hit. Caroline Kepnes

Relieved to have submitted The Makoto Murders for my MA dissertation at UEA Literature@UEA Next challenge is to finish a first draft of the sequel by the time results & feedback arrive in November.

Great evening at Noirwich last night, for the launch of the anthology for the Crime Fiction MA at UEA Literature@UEA
