Crisp, concise mystery (150 pages) that seems to end too quickly, in a rush of revelations. Good view of 1950s Japan. Originally titled ‘Points and Lines’ in a direct translation of the Japanese.

Relieved to have submitted The Makoto Murders for my MA dissertation at UEA Literature@UEA Next challenge is to finish a first draft of the sequel by the time results & feedback arrive in November.

The only problem of clearing bookshelf space by donating to Oxfam is that I find just as many that I’ve been wanting to read. Marylebone branch has a wonderful selection.
