Someone messaged me earlier and told me they started reading my book, and they kept trying to put it down and just couldn’t do it. I guess my publisher was right. Printing each book cover on flypaper was a great idea. Bad for the pages though.

Today I awoke from a terrifying dream. It was the first day of school & I hadn’t done my syllabi, or printed anything out. The students were arriving, & I was scrambling to throw something together. If I’m already having these dreams on June 17, this is going to be a long summer.

I was writing today & I looked out & saw a lizard holding a dragonfly in its mouth. The lizard spent the next 20 minutes or so devouring it one little segment at a time. Kinda reminds me of that old saying about lizards & why you don’t want to make them mad when they’re hungry.
