Congratulations to Year 13 students Samuel, Poppy, Zaki, Molly, Farouk & Precious, who recently took part in the prestigious Imperial College Science in Medicine School Teams Prize. Out of 234 submissions, their entry was shortlisted to the final ten, an impressive achievement.

Today the school marked Show Racism the Red Card's #WearRedDay, organised by the Richard Hale School Council. Show Racism the Red Card is the UK's leading ‘anti-racism’ education charity, delivering training & workshops about the importance of standing up against racist abuse.

Congratulations to Jaxon in Year 12 who is enjoying an incredible recent run of success representing England in badminton. His most recent success came in the German Ruhr u17 international where he won a gold in the doubles & a silver in the mixed event. Well done Jaxon!

This week the KS3 Science Club looked ahead to Bonfire night and made sparklers from iron filings. They also, along with the Year 12 assistants, designed and carved pumpkins in which they lit copper and lithium compounds to make spooky green and red Halloween flames. #ScienceClub

On Friday we welcomed Sarah Manzie from Herts Young Homeless to talk to Year 13s about the realities of leaving home, whether that be moving to university or into private accommodation, & the costs of living independently. Thank you herts young homeless for a really informative session.

Our Secret Santa book swap took place this morning in the library. Students had a great time sharing their secret Santa gifts and revealing their new books to each other whilst listening to Christmas music and enjoying mince pies. It was a lovely festive morning. #secretsanta
