3/2 BONUS POST

This shows the overall City level % vote share.

%s almost exactly the same as 2023 City elections.

At Oct 2023 HATOC a local Cllr told the Cttee that the City Council would see an electoral tsunami over safe streets.

Last night that party lost a ward.

This snowflake has blocked me because I asked him what is causing sunshine hours to increase, and why the temperature is more strongly correlated with CO₂ concentration than with sunshine hours.

Extreme heat hits the Philippines

'It's surprising our pools are still empty. You would expect people to come and take a swim, but it seems they're reluctant to leave their homes because of the heat.'

Congo’s peat remains threatened by oil exploration even after the 2023 law banning industrial activities on peat. This also threatens the livelihood of the local population who rely on peat forest for fishing. @congopeat Simon Lewis

Andrew Neil Hi Andrew Neil

Jim Dale does not work for the Met Office

On GB News he was credited to “British Weather Services” (which I had not heard of until today)

The Met Office did not forecast a “sweltering April”

Will you post a correction?

We've got a new paper in Communications Earth & Environment led by Jan Esper and Jason Smerdon. We argue that the IPCC's focus on a single Common Era temperature reconstruction was an 'insufficient summary of our understanding of temperature variability' and we provide a broader context

If you think it’s been chilly for the last couple of weeks, you’re right. But this graph really shows how much more often warm spells approach the record versus cold ones. It’s still been a warm three months compared even to the most recent 30 year UK average.

Great to see Devon & Cornwall Police taking action against bus gate violations in the Exeter Trial

Removing through traffic reduces pedestrian casualties by about 7x.

So extra good that some of the violations are being reported on devices funded by Vision Zero South West Thks Alison Hernandez 👍

1/4 This is a very good development. We have been raising this issue since the scenario details were made public by the IPCC after the publication of the AR6 working group reports. The paper quoted in the article can be found here. tandfonline.com/doi/full/10.10…
