Why do people just check into a ham radio net, give their traffic (or no traffic) and then just leave? I thought the idea was to exchange traffic and ideas?

Check the license expiration on your local #hamradio repeater. I’ve seen a few that were very active but the license had expired. Some of them years ago. 🫣
