The Wildcats are in action today in Ellsworth (boys) and St. Michael-Albertville (girls).

Freshman Dade Flett wins his varsity match at 106 pounds with a pin first round.

Waylon Deaton (120 pounds) with a pin first round. It’s his first varsity win. As a very accomplished youth wrestler, the Wildcats are excited to see many more over the next 4 years.

Three takedowns then a cradle gets it done for Oliver Larson (126 pounds). He moves into the semi-finals.

Junior Jonas Longsdorf wins 9-0 in the quarterfinals.

6 freshman in the line-up today and it’s another first: Jacob Hutchins gets his first win and first pin with a tight headlock. He moves into the semi-finals at 165 pounds.

Two-time state qualifier Jenna Lawrence opens the girl’s season with two first period pins at the St. Michael-Albertville Girls Tournament (35 seconds and 38 seconds).

Felix Wahlquist is a 6-0 winner at 175 pounds.

Double leg to a half Nelson and a pin for returning state qualifier Lincoln McCarty. That big guy sure can move!

Olivia Luther wins her first match at the STMA tournament. It was Olivia’s first ever wrestling match!

The Wildcats are led by first year head coach Cameron Loomis, an RFHS graduate. Coach Loomis’ assistant coaches are Anders Lantz, Austen Hakes, Ben Tauchen, Tanner Kauffman, Gabe Glaubitz, and Josie Bartishofski.

Jenna Lawrence with another win. She advances to championship finals. Olivia Luther will go for 3rd place.

Jenna Lawrence is the STMA Girls Tournament champions. Trailing 9-2, she picked top and tied it at 9-9 before getting the pin for the title.
