We have been celebrating the incredible Royal Free London renal services as part of #WorldKidneyDay yesterday. From world leading transplant & surgery, providing dialysis across north London, to delivering a wide range of multi-professional care for diabetes & kidney conditions. 👏⭐️

Staff came together on Friday for a special event to celebrate the LGBTQ+ and friends network and recognise its commitment to providing an inclusive and caring environment for all our colleagues over the last 10 years. 👏

Fantastic to spend time this morning with our teams at Barnet Hospital. They are brilliant and I’m proud of the services they provide and the difference they make for our patients. Thank you all 👏👍

So great to see our first patients treated through our new Quadra PET scanner 👏 Not only we will be able to scan more patients, more quickly, but also drive forward our specialist clinical research in new areas including cancer. Brilliant work and big thank you Royal Free Charity 👍

Patrick is 1 of nearly 50,000 people who get referred to Royal Free London every year for cancer care. As one of the largest cancer centres in the country we are working all the time to develop new innovations, and earlier ways to diagnose and treat it. 👇

It's a new year, and a new chapter, as North Middlesex University Hospital joins the Royal Free London group. Together we can go further and faster in improving services, delivering more opportunities for staff, and enabling better, fairer health for our local communities.

This week I’ve had the pleasure of going out and about to meet my new colleagues from North Mid and I also got to spend an afternoon at St Michael’s, the hub for North Mid’s community services. I’m looking forward to meeting many more of you in the next few weeks.
