On the 5th June, hockey club enjoyed a whole day at the Olympic Park watching pro-league international hockey. We saw both GB men and women, with a very long and exciting shoot-out in the first match. There was a lot of cheering! England Hockey

In June, children from years 3-6 represented RFA at the Croydon Schools’ athletics championships. Qualifiers were over two evenings at Croydon Arena with the RFA team competing across all running, jumping and throwing events Croydon SSP

Incredibly, 19 children (a record!) qualified for the athletics finals, competing against the best in Croydon. This included all four children in high jump, two for 800m, and both relay teams. They all represented RFA brilliantly with positivity, resilience and team spirit!

And here is our Year 6 boys high jump competitor, who placed SECOND across the whole of Croydon. He came third last year, and this is an event that we cannot practise at school! The natural talent is very apparent and we are hopeful he will continue athletics at secondary school.

Our Dance squads did us proud at the Let Your Feet Compete competitions. The KS2 team received a fabulous commendation for their confidence - they definitely enjoyed themselves on stage! A lot of hard work and commitment went into this and we were thrilled with the performance.

The KS1 team also performed brilliantly at the Let Your Feet Compete competition. They showed confidence, energy and enjoyment throughout the routine with this year’s theme of ‘Love’. We definitely love what we do at RFA and this group should be so proud of their third place!

Thank you to the wonderful parents of a child in EYFS who organised the donation and delivery of a LARGE number of pallets for our first OPAL project - mud kitchen here we come!
