Yesterday would have been Mom’s 98th. Here she is with her legendary redfish, which prompted two generations—including my son & nephew—to ask, “Is it bigger than Grandma’s?!” Happy birthday to Ruth Fertel, a woman whose defeats were few and whose wins were always the biggest.
