Still can’t believe the first new Famicom Detective Club game in almost 30 years released today! Seems like physical copies are VERY limited so probably best to grab it ASAP if you plan to.

Strange question: does anyone know if Retro-Bit Gaming ever released their R-Type collection officially in Japan as a Super Famicom cartridge? I saw these photos and was confused, but I may have just missed it in the press release years ago.

Very curious if this is a nod to Kid Icarus creator, Toru Osawa, in Emio: The Smiling Man. Emio’s producer and writer, Yoshio Sakamoto, worked with Osawa quite a bit many years ago which makes me think this is a cool little Easter Egg.

Finished Chou Wakusei Senki MetaFight (a.k.a. Blaster Master) tonight, a game that’s been on my completion bucket list for a few decades now. Loved it! Though I struggled with the controls a bit when I got the wall cling upgrade. Still a great game overall though!
