I am working on a student's piece of writing and added the comment that the opening section of the work needed to be precise and robust. Immediately thought of this.

Weekend Read: I Ate The Whole World To Find You By robert tan (Rachel Ang) Published by Scribe Publications This is a remarkable piece of work. The illustrations are rich in layers of realism and the fantastical to illuminate the narrative.

I find it humourously ironic that streaming services like YouTube now intersperse ads into longer videos rather like free-to-air television channels. It's like I am revisiting my youth and having to time the toilet break or snack run with the ad breaks.

What's happening in your classroom right now?

Orchids are one of my favourite flowers. I have some at home. The local orchid society was having a display on the weekend at the shopping centre. Could have spent heaps. I am a woeful gardener but I love seeing others' dedication and passion, and the fruits of their labour.
