This morning I was speaking at a Tibetan celebration of the 35th anniversary of His Holiness receiving The Nobel Peace Prize.

Today is International Human Rights Day. Let’s take a minute to stop and recognise it. My God, how human rights are under threat today from all quarters !!!!Everyone deserves to be free of the yoke of tyranny and oppression.

In approaching the Christian celebration of Christmas I am really mindful of the fact that somewhere the Christian exhortation to pray for your enemies is being forgotten. All this killing that is going on around the world is simply leading to more killing and more misery.

This is one of the most moving things I do all year. In a local park in Ultimo the local church acts out the story of Jesus birth with live animals, etc. Hundreds of people come it’s very real and very moving and very chaotic.

Our Ashfield free hot traditional Christmas lunch is over and people are already lining up here in Woolloomooloo waiting for our Food Van so we can enjoy Christmas celebrations all over again.

Our food van delivers free hot nutritious meals to the disadvantaged and homeless residents of Miller in Sydney. Sam, a disadvantaged pensioner there brings his kettle long life milk and a tin of coffee to give those less fortunate a cuppa.

In a quiet corner in the entrance to Central Railway Station Sydney stands an inconspicuous monument to the stolen generation. Industrial scale removal of Indigenous children from their parents to be put into homes or given to others. Disgraceful!!!!

A huge crowd for my 10 am Good Friday church service today. At least double Good Friday numbers for over the past two decades. Huge numbers for Good Friday Breakfast and Lunch in my Loaves and Fishes Free Restaurant too.

This is one of our biggest Easters EVER. Our church was full to overflowing and an endless queue of people are here for a meal. It seems to be going on for ever and ever……

This is really sad news that Pope Francis has died. I am sure God has welcomed him home with open arms.

With the homeless, remembering the Anzacs. We lit the candle, said prayers & recited The Ode. Then extinguished the candle in memory of all those lives lost We then all prayed for world peace in our time. The rising smoke from the snuffed candle joined us in that prayer.

Today is the International Memorial Day for the Japanese Military “Comfort Women.” It is truly terrible what happened. We have to make sure this never happens again.
