Several residents have been learning to cook nutritious meals on a budget recently, such as this delicious soup one resident made, with the help of his housing support worker.

We support our residents through whatever challenging circumstances they face, and try to bring hope into their lives. "The Spirit of the Sovereign Lord brings good news to the poor [and] comforts the brokenhearted." Isaiah 61:1

More culinary sessions from our residents! We've got quite a few people at the moment who are keen to improve their diet and cooking skills. One resident spent time batch cooking portions of pasta sauce, making two different flavours to give himself more variety.

Our board of trustees sat down with senior staff last week to discuss long-term strategy for Restore. We are so grateful for them, as they give up their time voluntarily to serve and help us to keep providing homes and hope to people in York who have previously been homeless.

A green-fingered resident has cleared some flower beds at the property where he lives and intends to plant a wildflower border and a herb garden. We can't wait to see what he does with it, watch this space!

It's Easter Sunday and we join with Christians around the world today to celebrate our risen Saviour, the source of our hope.
