One of the biggest obstacles we are facing is the extensive lack of communication throughout the region. Thankful for friends willing to drive across the state to meet me with Starlink devices that we hope to have up and running asap. Stay tuned.

Now that we have moving from the search/rescue to the assessment/recovery phase of this disaster, we have been touring the district with elected officials, local departments and businesses to talk through the damage and how we rebuild what we lost just a week ago.

Unanimous vote in both chambers for the FIRST round of funding to Western North Carolina. This bill includes $273 million in funding and legislation to expedite recovery efforts. We will be back later in October to take further action. #ncpol #ncga
