8 years down and 3 days to go before the RePHILL is published. Really hope anyone with an interest in prehospital care and trauma resuscitation will be able to join this livestream!

Worth a watch - grab a cup of tea and have a think about blood administration prehospital for major trauma patients with the authors #RePHILL #FOAMed (thanks for putting this together, Critical Care Reviews)

Critical Care Reviews Could #REPHILL be the next FEAST? An uncomfortable finding that doesn't fit with established dogma and therefore many will just pretend it didn't happen or contort themselves into arguments about how their practice/system/patients are different? *ducks for cover*

Massively important point from Clare Bosanko tonight - all the focus has been on blood products but if all you have is saline, it’s ok as it is no worse than RBC/plasma in prehospital traumatic haemorrhage with rapid transfer. We can end “pasta water” claims.

@mina_el_naguib Two things 1. PRBCs are not very good at DO2 (due to storage and lack of 2,3,DPG). 2. In the study there was very little difference in Hb on arrival at hospital so not really a difference in DO2 interesting isn’t it I love unexpected results in trials :-)

Thanks to Therese Karlsson room for a great and thoughtful review and discussion about the RePHILL . Hearing how our work is being interpreted in practice is fantastic! If you haven’t listened yet, it’s worth it! 🤓

We are extremely proud to have taken part in the RePHILL which was recently published in The Lancet Haematology journal. The trial investigated the use of blood products in the treatment of critically injured patients before arriving at hospital.👉 bit.ly/3v3prW7

A fantastic and very timely review on haematological management of haemorrhage, including prehospital. One to read, remember and reference. Delighted to have added to the discussion #realliferesearch onlinelibrary.wiley.com/doi/epdf/10.11…
