This was an interesting read for me. So much to digest and definitely a lot of valid points. Is one single exam (usually 2-3 hours long) the best decider after 13 years of schooling?

Teacher appreciation day!! Am so grateful to be at my school everyday. This is a big celebration, but everyday, it is the interaction with students and colleagues which keeps me motivated and inspired.

Sometimes, our students just, "ain't wanna do it no more". But at least they try and give it a go.

This guy, NSW Rural Fire Service Commissioner Shane Fitzsimmons, is an incredible leader. As far as I can tell the guy hasn’t slept in 2 months. Morning & night, he’s calmly and compassionately directing resources, providing information and keeping us safe. Thanks Commissioner 🙏🏼

Of course - we are committed to Merit Selection. But when you consider that more than 78% of NSW Dept of Education permanent and temporary staff are female - we need to ensure that merit is being appropriately recognised by our recruitment system.

In light of all the confusion and uncertainty, I am thankful for my Senior Executive, my faculty members and our students. We have come together and focussed on creating a clear vision that works as best it can for us. Stay safe everyone.

I took this in this morning for my staff from my neighbour's garden. To remind us to stop and smell the roses. Am still e-mailing staff and making videos of myself for students so they feel safe and connected. All while also trying to be a semi-decent mum to my 4yo. #wegotthis.

I am working from home and am running a Microsoft Team virtual Period 1 class. My 4yo has also been given such an amazing structure to follow. Teachers, all over the world, have inspired me. We got this!!!

So far, the force has been strong within my Virtual Classrooms. My students in Period 1 enjoyed a very special appearance today. May the fourth be with you!!
