I just finished reading by Bee Rowlatt and I loved it. What she manages to achieve in terms of character depth in such a slim novel is quite remarkable. It’s fresh, it’s gripping, it’s great. Big thanks to Renard Press for my proof.

Really honoured to be invited to the bookbank at St Jude and St Paul’s church in Islington, and meet guests and volunteers. I’m looking forward to working with them to raise awareness (and money) to expand this excellent community service.

Anyone in the books field, please @ me

A little thread on my thoughts of FOMO in the book world. Because it's real and I know loads of us feel it.
That feeling of being peripheral or not included because you have no agent. Then you get an agent but you still have no deal. Then you get the deal but it isn't a big one.

Banning education on LGBTQ+ rights doesn’t stop anyone being LGBTQ+. It’s abusive and inhumane.

I grew up bi in a country where the Church constantly talked about homosexuality being a sin. That did nothing but cause years of damage I’ve had to slowly undo.

And half the nation wouldn’t care if every football stadium closed. What’s your point? Because there is such a thing as society, in fact, we accommodate each other’s enthusiasms. (Pic c/o adele geras)
