[From Amb Rena Lee] I am deeply honoured to be Singapore’s intended nominee for election to the International Court of Justice CIJ_ICJ in 2026. I thank the Singapore National Group to the Permanent Court of Arbitration Permanent Court of Arbitration and the Singapore Government for their support.




Amb Rena Lee received the 2024 Elizabeth Haub Award for Environmental Law and Diplomacy, the world’s most prestigious award in the field of environmental law, which recognises individuals who work to create the world environmental order. Elisabeth Haub School of Law at Pace University.


Amb Rena Lee delivered a presentation on "Participation in International Law and the Multilateral Approach to Justice", on 9 Dec at Grotius Centre. She shared her insights on participation by small States, at all levels of international law making, implementation and compliance.



Appreciate the opportunity to engage the diplomatic corps at a reception hosted by Minister Vivian Balakrishnan. Looking forward to more such interactions on international law and the ICJ this year.

On 22 Jan 2025, Amb Rena Lee delivered the keynote address at the NUS Centre for International Law's Year in Review 2025 Conference, recalling 80 years since the establishment of the United Nations and its role in international law-making.
