Off to a great start in thecapitulab this week prepping Dahlia and Bidens tissue for some confocal microscopy with Zach Meharg and Reid Selby! And check it, Zach understands that when you visit us you better bring some capitula!!
thecapitulab is hiring! Looking for a Postdoc to work on this U.S. National Science Foundation funded project studying capitulum development Auburn University. The work involves really cool developmental transcriptomics of diverse species while diving deeper with functional genetics. Reach out with questions! 🌻
First semester of grad school, done ! Huge thank you to the thecapitulab for a wonderful semester. Worked on some techniques I’ve been crazy to learn and made incredible memories along the way. Can’t wait to continue this academic journey next semester at the Dr. Courtney Leisner lab!
For the past 6+ years, I had lots of thoughts about how floral meristems terminate to make flowers, esp from an evo-devo viewpoint. Now, these thoughts are distilled into 2000 words and I humbly share them with the community on New Phytologist. Comments & discussions are very welcome!
