So sad to hear of Dr. Caroline Turner's passing. I didn't know her personally, but her ASHE presidential address is one my faves - "Lessons from the Field: Cultivating Nurturing Environments in Higher Education" is well worth the read.

Sabbatical hasn't officially started yet, but I went to the grocery store in voluminous, flowy overalls and crocs in the middle of a Tuesday, so I have high hopes. Anyway, also, I'm looking for virtual or IRL writing buddies for the coming year! DM me!

Just submitted grades for the last class I'll teach for a year. Don't get me wrong, I adore my students and teaching is what really keeps me in academia - it brings me so much joy. But it's hard to be engaged and empathetic and timely and all that!! And I'm tired 😴😴😴
