Spent today X-band tracking "Le quattro stagioni" of FengYun weather satellites: 3D, 3E, 3F and 3H (and 3G) - data processing is a lot of work, so images later. First this solar FY3E XEUVI image with some nice solar flares and plasma arcs (and a cosmic ray hitting the detector)

FengYun 3D @ 13:56 UTC Color InfraRed (CIR) image - you can see the winter darkness (top right) creeping in .... Pass started a bit late as it immediately followed a FY3H pass I was tracking.

From a NOAA 21 pass at 11:45 UTC - a crop of Northern UK/Scotland - Lake district, Pennines and Scotland having plenty of snow.

From yesterdays NOAA 21 pass - day microphysics - a crop of the snowy (=red) alps and a better view of the snow on the UK/Scotland.

From FengYun 3H @ 12:59 UTC: 3 different crops of Scotland/Ireland : false colour, colour infrared and true colour.
