Each mark and milestone you hit gives meaning to the one before it.

Obstacles and rejections are strong components of the journey.

Every business owner I have ever met has a story. All of these stories have the same theme. It goes something like this. 'I got the shit beat out of me every day for years, then one day....I started to fight back.'

Sustainable success is not built overnight.

You never really understand this until you complete your first year working for yourself. Something interesting happens after that. You notice your progress but you also realize the road is long!

Be quick to hire, and even quicker to fire.

Have you ever had to fire someone? If so, what was the reason?

I fire off of intent. If they purposefully dropped the ball I will fire with no hesitation. But if they made an honest mistake, I am quick to give them a second chance.

People confuse happiness and satisfaction.

If I asked you right now 'What would make you happy?' How quickly could you answer?

For me, this was a tough question. Because I found myself answering with what would make me satisfied, not happy.

Working hard and being spread too thin are two very different dynamics.

How do you keep from spreading yourself too thin?

Outwork your self-doubt.

If you dont think you are good enough, do more.

If you feel like a poser, learn more.

If you feel like you are behind, go faster.

Become successful in business before you become successful personally.

Whenever I get to a low point and I feel like giving up, I remind myself this is where most people stop and this is why most people won't win.

Understand that hard is the point. We have all heard 'If it was easy, everyone would do it.' Then why do so many entrepreneurs still complain about it being hard? That's the point. The harder it is, the bigger the potential reward. Be excited.

What is burnout?

When your outcome per unit of time decreases.

Burnout will touch every entrepreneur at one point or another. The important thing is recognizing it before it gets out of hand.

Wealth is a byproduct of knowledge.

If you plan to chase wealth, use knowledge.

'Hustle' sounds cool. But if you don't have the right tools, you can work as hard as you want and you still won't win. Take your time and learn. Then go kill the market.

Picture success is like building a mountain using only layers of paint.

It takes a long time to see any progress, but once you do you will be hooked.
