Depression is,nt just sadness. It’s hating yourself. Having no motivation to do ANYTHING . Never being able to sleep. Struggling to get out of bed. Knowing you have stuff to do, But can’t do it. Ignoring hunger. Forgetting about self care. Depression isn’t always sadness.

When my mental health declines. I either sleep to much, or not at all. I will cancel plans. Stop talking to friends. Push everyone away. Stop eating, or binging. Stop taking care of myself. Have no motivation or energy. And think about suicide way to much. #MentalHealthAwarenes

Abusers don’t abuse everyone they are in contact with. So doubting victims based on your experiences, is very damaging to the person who has experienced abuse and trauma. It also makes us question ourselves and what we have suffered. And can create more trauma.
