A likely disaster for NASA. There were two final choices for admin six months ago. One was a budget cutter. The other was Jared.

The reality is that Jared cared deeply about NASA and space exploration. There’s no guarantee the next person will. More likely is that we get someone who acts out of loyalty to the administration first and foremost.

Pretty sure the net effect of this is that SpaceX just goes its own way in space. Where its interests align with NASA, great. But the space agency's budget is about to be slashed, and the legacies will be fighting for the scraps.
