Does anyone understand this pension remedy nonsense? I can’t even be sure I’m even looking at the correct statement, let alone what the implications are?!??

Police Officers and the goodwill of police officers make this service work. Officers should have had a fair pay rise in April. It's now October. We are being treated with contempt by the Government.

The Metropolitan Police would like to take this opportunity to apologise for not getting it wrong. They know it’s been difficult for the officers involved and so have referred them to the IOPC for not finding it easier.

An often overlooked aspect of this problem is the ever increasing levels of sophistication demanded of police, as pay and conditions were eroded. Not only do we not have enough police, investigations that previously only took a few hours now take several weeks to deal with.

I don’t know what the problem is here to be fair. If an incredibly wealthy pop star buys a government, the least she should get in return is an unwarranted police escort to work. You plebs would get exactly the same thing if you were super super rich.

Does anyone else get a sense that the title of Tactical Advisor has lost its meaning? Like… you walk into work and ask for help with a file and you get sent to the file Tac Ad or you’re looking for some staples and you have to speak to the stationery Tac Ad…?

To be fair, it’s much easier to confuse a bomb with a torpedo than a human being with a sausage. Starmer is getting better if you think about it from that angle.
