This is why I think sports are so important for kids growing up: sports simulate life's curve balls. Not only do they teach teamwork and how to win gracefully and how to lose with the same grace, but they teach you to get back up if you get knocked down.

No doubt in the world that Detroit shaped my game. You had to be versatile, tough, and relentless, just like the legends before us.

There's so much power in extending grace and understanding, especially to those who came before or raised us. Friendly reminder to give compassion to ourselves and others this Mental Health Awareness Month.
