I was absolutely speechless when I arrived at school to find a large box I wasn’t expecting w my name on it. So many beautiful copies of THIS IS A SCHOOL w a beautiful note from John Schu . His generosity knows no bounds. I can’t wait to have Ss help me give them away!❤️📚❤️

So masterfully crafted, start to finish, hard to put down.Felt like I was in Sault Ste Marie w Daunis. Ojibwe culture woven beautifully throughout. Angeline Boulley - #FIREKEEPERSDAUGHTER left me feeling deeply, thinking about and reflecting on so much, & wanting to learn more about Indigenous cultures.

We kicked off our book story around John Schu ‘ THE GIFT OF STORY last Wednesday! It made for a great start to the day to learn and grow alongside 45 of my colleagues, who signed up and participated voluntarily. Thankful to work w Tara Lukaart & Kurt Stroh to plan & facilitate.

This GN memoir by Dan Santat is so so good. I want to put it into the hands of every middle school kid I know. Beautifully illustrates finding your voice, feeling comfortable in who you are, & taking risks to experience life fully at a crucial point in growing up.
