They really enjoyed the book and were so excited to receive a letter from Katherine Applegate (kaaauthor.bsky.social) in which she challenged them to find good books and grow as readers. Not trying to “pressure” anyone on how to vote for FISD Board, but personally I like the candidates who have strong records as community servants and who consistently advocate for Frisco students and teachers instead of the candidates being propped up by fringe political groups.

Mrs. Knox and her 5th grade book club met with author Jennifer Nielsen today to discuss her book “Iceberg”.  It was such a treat to hear about her writing process and the research that goes in to writing historical fiction.
