Meet Burvina! reStart Inc. is so proud to introduce you to Burvina Parham, our new Director of Housing. Burvina brings decades of experience to her role and we cannot wait to see the impact she makes!

Last week we hosted a gathering for current and former residents who are participating in a very exciting project for reStart called The Road Home. Participants shared a bit of their journeys from homelessness to housing and were gifted a framed 11 x 11 portrait.

Meet our volunteers Michelle and Trish – they’ve delivered homemade sandwiches every week for 2 ½ years! Their reason: “While it might not seem like much, we feel like this is something we can do. And if each of us did just one thing, collectively we make the world better.”

Since the spring our Veterans Services team has grown! Grateful to those pictured (Robin, Angel, Jordan, MacKenzie and Patrick) as well as Derrick who was out serving our vets!

reStart team attended The Kansas City VA Medical Center’s annual “Stand Down for Veterans” event on Friday. reStart was one of 63 community organizations that came together to offer resources and services to veterans experiencing homelessness. See the event's feature on KSHB 41 News
