RD using everyday language to talk about time. We used twenty blocks first “it’s taken 1 minute and 1 second”. But about if we used 10 blocks “it’s taken 16 seconds” “it’s quicker because we used less blocks” #FIDES Class RD Fibbersley Park Academy

Exploring time by using stopwatches on the IWB, IPad and sand timers ⏱⌛️ when building towers.

Using a variety of resources to make boat. We tested our boats to see what would happen. “The paper is no good as it goes all soggy when it touches the water”

Using everyday language to talk about distance. “Mine went the furthest” “This one is the closest to the line” “My aeroplane went even further than yours”

Some lovely designs for our Pirate ship. Sizing it up to make sure it is big enough. “Look Mrs Dodd, I’m measuring to see how long it is.”
