President Prof Deborah McNamara RCSI spoke at the WomenInSurgeryAfrica AGM at #COSECSA25 remarking on the Irish perspective and ‘ensuring that a surgical career pathway can facilitate many different pathways.’ The President also encouraged young women to step up to opportunities.

Eric O’Flynn, IGS Director of Education, Training & Advocacy spoke at the WomenInSurgeryAfrica AGM highlighting the 7 WiSA Research Grants of $7500 and the support of Johnson & Johnson Health Equity Eric also noted the amazing work of Avril Hutch and how much RCSI is learning from WiSA’s experience.

Congratulations Dr Wambi David, plastic surgeon from Uganda, and the top COSECSA Candidate of 2024, who was awarded the Prof Gerald O’Sullivan medal at #RCSICharter. The medal was presented to David by RCSI President Prof Deborah McNamara and Prof O'Sullivan's wife Breda.
