He’s13. Has grown up watching big men bring big burdens to the altar. He learned to bring his too. They’ve always prayed with him, for him, now he’s beginning to pray with/for them. He’s a man in the making, and our church family keeps shaping him in beautiful ways.

God brought peace through diplomatic dinners with Esther. But a different peace came through an afternoon snack with Jael. When evil comes after you, you better know the difference between dinner time and hammer time. Sometimes you need spoons. But sometimes you need pegs.

Sometimes a heavenly breeze lifts the edge of veil between what is, and what will be. This week was one of those for me. I think I saw what Heaven is going to be like.

I’m leaving thoughtful, helpful commentary in my UGST textbooks for my son when he takes Biblical Interp next semester. I hope he is duly appreciative.

Grant and I got to enjoy this tank only because of the men who fought in it. Our day on the tank was pleasant,theirs was a brutal, bloody battle. You don’t have freedom without sacrifice. It reminds me of our church. Our pews are peaceful, because altars were not.

Not sure about old dogs and new tricks, but this semester at Urshan Grad School is for SURE teaching this ol’ lady a LOT of new truths.

HoneyPie has been late 3 times this week because of his first wife. And although at times she irritates us both no end, I’m thankful she is still in his life. It’s me. I am his first wife.
