Something about being a patient when you're a nurse I've found is that I might know things I didn't before, which isn't always good! Sometimes it's easier to just discuss and trust. But it does make it easier to advocate for yourself #RCNNRN

RCN Newly Registered Nurses I enable self medication where I can! Especially as we have patients who end up with us for several week stays.

On a similar theme, I do find that sometimes I will be listened to more if I say I'm a nurse. Which is frustrating because usually the things I say are because I am experienced in my own body and conditions. #RCNNRN
