A police operation is underway in in Inuvik at the Bompas Place Apartments. RCMP are asking people to avoid the area at this time. This operation is a proactive enforcement action and there is no immediate risk to the public at this time.

The police operation in Inuvik has concluded however there may be an increased police presence in the area throughout the morning as the investigation continues.

A police operation is underway in in Yellowknife at 45 Street and 49 Avenue. RCMP are asking people to avoid the area at this time. This operation is a proactive enforcement action and there is no immediate risk to the public at this time.

The police operation in Yellowknife has concluded however there may be an increased police presence in the area throughout the evening as the investigation continues.

Acting on a report from a community member, RCMP officers from Tuktoyaktuk conducted check stops on the Inuvik-Tuktoyaktuk Highway. These joint efforts to curb bootlegging resulted in a liquor seizure from a vehicle.
