SIOUX PARK PLANTING Crews from the City’s Parks Division are working in the Noordermeer Formal Gardens areas today, planting flowers for the summer season. Crews began efforts late last week and hope to have areas planted in various parks and frontage areas later this week

Effective immediately, Sheffer Street between West Main Street and West Chicago Street closed for emergency manhole repairs. Closure extends at least through Wednesday, according to City utility maintenance officials.

Sheffer Street: Westbound outside lane of West Main Street also closed for short distance at Sheffer Street intersection for crews to work on repairs. Access to Sheffer Street businesses maintained, however Sheffer Street closed to thru traffic.

Sheffer Street Closure: Drivers are advised to use caution in the affected area and with accessing impacted businesses. Drivers using Sheffer Street to access West Chicago Street or West Main Street are advised to use an alternate route. Updates will be provided when available.

Effective Monday, stretch of flume trail along northside of Rapid Creek closed to public assess as City Parks crews conduct maintenance work in area. Area extends from north of Abourezk Law Firm at Mountain View Road/Omaha Street east to Founders Park
