Bishop Frank is leading the Diocese on pilgrimage to Lourdes this week. Today, the group departs from Prestwick and will settle in their hotels ahead of the pilgrimage officially opening tomorrow.

Our Diocesan Lourdes group are currently waiting for the Torchlight Procession during which they'll walk with Mary whilst praying the Rosary, reflecting tonight on the Sorrowful Mysteries and praying for the Diocese. As we prepare, Bishop Frank has recorded this short message.

Following the lighting our Diocesan Pilgrimage Candle in Lourdes, which will continue the prayers of our pilgrimage long after we've left, Bishop Frank lit two candles for the Diocese: one for the Diocese and the other for vocations. Our Lady of Lourdes, pray for us.

As part of our Diocesan prayer for vocations each deanery will offer a quarterly Mass for Vocations. In St Joseph's Deanery (East Ayshire), the first of these will be celebrated in St Joseph’s Church on Thursday 31st July at 6.00 pm. All are welcome.

The parish community of St Joseph's, Kilmarnock, invites you to join them for their upcoming organ recitals. They look forward to welcoming two fantastic recitalists from Europe and the USA over the next fortnight: Alessandro Bianchi and Damin Spritzer.

On Saturday evening the parishioners of St Sophia's, Galston honoured one of their parishioners for her meritorious long service to the church. Agnes Buswell is always ready to assist around the church and the community are very grateful to her for all that she does.

Tomorrow evening at 6.00 pm in St Joseph's Church, Kilmarnock, St Joseph's Deanery (East Ayrshire) invites you to join them for the first of their quarterly Masses praying for Vocations to the Priesthood: that more young men may hear and answer the Lord's call to them.
