Very sad news. Michael Melski was a fantastic storyteller whose talents will be greatly missed, but always remembered. I enjoyed meeting him during my time on Neptune Theatre’s board. A proud Cape Bretoner, friendly and down to Earth.

Read this👇 “Despite all the hullabaloo about the removal of the consumer carbon tax, the industrial carbon tax still applies to Canadian manufacturers and producers of all stripes. This means that Canadian producers like farmers are punished for doing what they do best –

In 2024, the independent Chief Electoral Officer asked the Liberals to fix this. He was ignored. Glad Pierre Poilievre is raising this. Hopefully, this will be another good Conservative idea the Liberals will implement.

The Jays are playing entertaining ball, but my goodness, the Yankees defence has been terrible. If their front office doesn’t address this before the trade deadline…

Wonderful tribute to the late Rhéal Cormier in his home province of New Brunswick. Rhéal was the starting pitcher in two Expos home openers at the BIg O in Montreal; in 1992, Rhéal started for the Cardinals and in 1996, he started for the Expos against the Rockies!

Enjoying Joe Siddall’s colour commentary today in the Jays/Tigers game. Nice yarn about catching strong pitchers, namely his catching El Presidente for the Expos at Wrigley Field

Important question for Mark Carney when he is in the Maritimes today. Why has federal funding dried up for important housing projects like this one in Digby? Good thing Chris d'Entremont is speaking out on this. cbc.ca/news/canada/no…

The only perfect game ever thrown by a pitcher for a Canadian MLB franchise. Dennis Martinez did it for the Expos 34 years ago today. Listen to this call by the best English-language play by play announcer for a Canadian team - the inimitable Hall of Famer Dave Van Horne

Will Mark Carney’s long awaited budget turn back the clock on Liberal overspending that has weakened Canada and Canada overtaxed Canadians?

Pierre Poilievre (@pierrepoilievre) 's Twitter Profile Photo

Remember when Carney promised to double homebuilding? Right. It’s since fallen off a cliff as Liberal taxes and bureaucracy block homes, kill jobs and leave a generation of youth in their parents’ basements.

When I knocked on doors earlier this year, I heard from many people who lived in communities off the Hammonds Plains Road who were traumatized by the 2023 wildfires. Be sure to follow Natural Resources Halifax Fire for updates on the Big Indian Lake wildfire.

Let’s listen to our Premier, respect the law and most Important of all, do the right thing for our fellow Nova Scotians.
