If I can write a while loop with a cursor and a stack I rather do that than using recursion. Especially in JS you can benefit from avoiding creating scopes and add entries to the stack traces. This is also a nice way to use pop and push functions in arrays.

Loops have some underrated superpowers like break and continue and they can be easily abstracted into generator functions to avoid unnecessary work. Loops are amazing.
