Told the doctor I can only eat potatoes and eggs or I’m in severe pain so I’d like nutrition shakes prescribed because they’re expensive and I’ve lost 20 lbs and he hits me with “don’t do that. just eat a normal diet” Anyways I cried and he referred me to an IBD specialist

Got to see the IBD specialist first thing this morning and she was an Angel. I’m so glad. She (this is sad because it’s the bare minimum) read my chart before the appt, had a plan, and took all of my questions seriously. I have a capsule endoscopy waiting to be scheduled 😭💖

I wish every insurance company who forces people to reschedule their procedures weeks out so they can get “authorization” a very Luigi
