This is either an example of good old supply and demand or just absolute property owner greed. $1,000 plus per night for the Holiday Inn is obscene. (They do have an outdoor pool though)

I hope today’s earthquake and Monday’s eclipse reminds all of us that we all share this planet regardless of our politics, race or religion. Be kind to each other as God, Mother Nature or whatever higher power you follow, is ultimately in charge.

The Churchill turf course is an awful unpredictable surface right now. In the Churchill 11th #7 Webslinger is 2-2 on that course from 2023. A bit slow but 12-1 and after the bomb in the 9th what’s your crazy idea??

Instead of an “all Tapeta” winter at Belmont how about running an occasional race on the training track? Not ideal but the logistics could be managed and the integrity of races such as the Withers and Gotham would be maintained.
