Iowa's offense couldn't have been more vanilla if it came from a broken-down ice cream dispenser. QB Mark Gronowski had moments when he sizzled, and there were a few passes he’d like to have back. But overall, he flashed potential, as did Iowa's offense. nytimes.com/athletic/65444…

Week 1: The experience of college football in Iowa City is pretty special. Thanks to friends and family that came out to see Mark’s first game at Iowa. Winning his 50th game as a D1 QB is a blessing. No matter what the stats are, winning is the goal & the Hawkeye’s are now 1-0.

Week 2: Rival games are always a grind & the Iowa Super Bowl (Iowa vs Iowa State) was no different. Extremely disappointing when you lose a close one but in this rivalry, it’s not a conference game. Plenty yet to accomplish in the season. Thanks to friends that joined the journey.

Week 3: It was a special day vs. UMASS to see Kirk Ferentz become the winningest Coach in Big10 history (206) while Mark sets the record for the most wins by a Division 1 QB (51). Both state “it takes a TEAM to accomplish these records.” Thanks to those that make the TEAM.

Week 4: Big Ten opener Friday night on National TV, in front of an energized crowd of 55,000 at Rutgers. Does it get much better? How about a come from behind 10 point victory? Hawks are now 3-1 and getting better every week, next up Indiana at Kinnick.

Week 5: Very emotional loss to #11 Indiana for multiple reason but even in a loss we continue to be proud to be a part of this Hawkeye Family. The support of family, friends and fans is appreciated. Hawks are now 3-2 with time to reset during the bye week.
